UNITED RENTALS RENEWS PRESENTING SPONSORSHIP OF DESERT FINANCIAL CREDIT UNION SCOTTSDALE AZ OPEN
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – Tournament Director Brian Vranesh announced today the renewed partnership with United Rentals as the Presenting Sponsor of the Desert Financial Credit Union Scottsdale AZ Open, which will be played May 21-24 at Talking Stick Golf Club in Scottsdale. The tournament was a major success when hit the Valley of the Sun last year – in large part because of the attractive guaranteed $125,000 purse and affordable entry fees. The event attracted more than 140 touring professionals from all over the country. Joel Dahmen, PGA TOUR member for the 2017–18 season, won the inaugural tournament in 2017 by two shots over Douglas Quinones and Riley Arp. “We see a lot of promise and growth with this tournament and really are excited to be a part of this partnership,” said Rob Bower, United Rentals Pacific West Region Vice President. “Last year’s tournament exceeded our expectations and we look forward to being an integral part of the growth of this great event that gives so much back to communities in the Phoenix area.”

The week will kick-off with a charity Pro-Am on May 21, followed by the three-day, 54-hole tournament, which will crown a champion on Thursday, May 24.
