DESERT FINANCIAL CREDIT UNION OPEN PRESENTED BY UNITED RENTALS SET TO TEE IT UP MAY 16-19

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – Tournament Director Ryan Pray confirmed today the 2022 Desert Financial Credit Union Open Presented by United Rentals is scheduled to tee it up May 16-19 at Talking Stick Golf Club in Scottsdale. Entering its sixth year, the Desert Financial Credit Union Open will feature a 54-hole tournament with a field of 156 players, with a cut to the low 50 players and ties after 36 holes, May 17-19. This year’s tournament has a minimum guaranteed purse of $125,000 – with $20,000 going to the winner.

Online registration opens at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, March 1, for past tournament participants at a special flash rate of $795. Regular online registration will open for all players on Friday, March 4, at 9 a.m. for $895. Entry fees include three tournament rounds, one practice round, a daily meal voucher and player tee gift. In just five years the Desert Financial Credit Union Open is making a name for itself as one of the premier professional golf tournaments in the State of Arizona. Past winners include Ryan Emery (2021), Zach Smith (2020), Brady Calkins (2019), Eric Ash (2018) and current PGA TOUR pro Joel Dahmen (2017).

The Desert Financial Credit Union Open Presented by United Rentals was created to provide a first-class competitive golf tournament for touring professionals, while also raising money to support Arizona Charities. The tournament will begin with a Pro-Am on Monday, May 16, to benefit the Desert Financial Foundation, followed by the three-day, 54-hole tournament, which will crown a champion on Thursday, May 19.
